> Is it necessary to hold a French Golf Federation (FFG) card to use Indoor Golfing?
No. Anyone can have access to the Indoor Golfing simulators, whether they have or have not played golf before. > Can I rent the golf equipment I need on site?
Yes you can, but confirmed golfers are advized to come with their own clubs in order to benefit most from practice with the simulator. > Is there a pro-shop on site?
Only small equipement such as balls, gloves and tees can be bought on site. However, since you can use the clubs provided by Indoor Golfing, you can later buy these clubs from official golf stores or on internet. > I have heard about a system called « motion capture ».
Is this system in use in Indoor Golfing and how does it work? Two of the 7 simulators at Indoor Golfing use this system. « Motion capture » allows the swing of the golfer to be video recorded and analyzed, compared to the swing of a pro and to have the pro's comments (for the moment only in English) on one's swing. To allow the computer to analyze the golfer's swing, he/she must have 3 stripes placed on his body (one on the head, one on the arm and one on the left leg, for right-handers). The golfer's swing is projected onto the screen on top of the pro's swing; This allows the player to see his/her own mistakes and make the necessary adjustments to improve his/her swing. > What equipment is available at Indoor Golfing apart from the simulators?
There is a warm-up area with a rowing machine, a stepper and a bicycle. A 60 square metre putting green is also available, with slopes and 5 holes. There are also changing rooms and showers and you can relax at the bar which serves cold snacks at the 19th hole.
> Can physically-handicapped persons access Indoor Golfing?
Physically-handicapped persons can get into Indoor Golfing wihout any problem as there are no steps to go up. Appropriate lavatories are also accessible. Low tables allow physically-handicapped persons to relax with others. However, no appropriate equipement is available for the moment to allow people who have lost the use of their legs to practice golf. |
